Our Approach

Guardian Dietitian started with a simple goal: to cut through nutrition myths, push back on diet culture, and to help patients achieve a healthy relationship with food and their bodies - for life.

At Guardian Dietitian, we don't believe in fad diets or quick fixes. Instead, we advocate for evidence-based, gradual lifestyle changes, which have been shown to create long-term mental and physical health benefits.

We believe in our patients being the experts of their own bodies and promote patient-centered, individualised care.

We are neurodiversity-affirming and we support our patients with a strengths-based approach, focusing on abilities, knowledge and capacities. â€‹We welcome people from all backgrounds and are proudly LGBTQIA+ friendly.

Why see a dietitian?

At Guardian Dietitian, people come to us for many reasons—but the heart of it is usually the same: they want clarity, comfort, and a way forward that actually honours their body, their lived experience, and their values.

A dietitian isn’t here to judge your eating or prescribe a rigid plan. We’re here to help you understand what your body is asking for, reduce the noise, and support you to build a calmer, more sustainable relationship with food.

What a Dietitian Can Offer

  • Evidence-based care, without the diet culture static. We translate complex nutrition science into practical, compassionate support that fits your real life—not an idealised version of it.

  • Support that centres your autonomy. You stay in the driver’s seat. We offer guidance, options, and clarity, not rules or pressure.

  • A safe space for all bodies. We practice from a weight-inclusive, HAES-aligned lens. Your worth is not measured in kilograms, and your care should never depend on your BMI.

  • Specialised help for complex eating experiences. Whether you’re navigating ARFID, ADHD, sensory needs, chronic illness, PCOS, gut issues, or a long history of dieting, we help you understand what’s happening and what will actually support your body.

  • A regulated, qualified health professional. As Accredited Practising Dietitians, we’re trained to work with medical conditions, interpret pathology, collaborate with your healthcare team, and provide care that is safe, ethical, and grounded in current evidence.

Why People Choose Guardian Dietitian

People often come to us because they’re tired—tired of conflicting advice, tired of feeling like they’re “failing,” tired of being dismissed or told to “just lose weight.” They stay because our approach feels different:

  • gentle, not prescriptive

  • collaborative, not hierarchical

  • curious, not judgmental

  • grounded in science, not trends

Our work is about restoring trust—trust in your body, trust in food, and trust that you deserve care that meets you where you are.
